At The Gates is a intensely original metal band from Gothenburg Sweden, They were formed back in 1990 under the lineup of Tomas Lindeberg from Grotesque, Anders Björler, Adrian Erlandsson, Jonas Björler, and Alf Svensson. In 1991 At The Gates released their first MLP "Gardens Of Grief" on Delores Records. This was originally supposed to be their first demo. The rest is history. At The Gates basically invented something referred to today as Gothenburg Metal, making a mark in the face of heavy metal forever.

As of September 1996 At The Gates have unfortunately broken up. Currently, Tomas and Adrian have been playing with Skitsystem and Tomas has rejoined with Grotesque as well. Jonas and Anders are in a ripping band called The Haunted. Unfortunately, Anders just left this band as well. Rumor is he is going back to school.
